WordPress 3.5.2 for Writer Blogs

I’m working on a comprehensive ebook for building an online writing business. No, you can’t get it yet, or even pre-order it, but it will include a lot of information about setting up your writing website and getting your freelance writing business going online.

One of the things that it will heavily cover is using WordPress for your writing blog and how to set that up for someone who is a writer, but not a technical web user.

On that note, if you use WordPress for your writer blog, you should know that there was a recent update. As of June 23, 2013, the current version of WordPress for writers, or anyone else, should be 3.5.2.

The 3.5.2 update to WordPress is mostly about a few technical bug fixes, but also some additional security fixes that are important to have locked down, as hackers have stepped up targeting of WordPress blogs.

WordPress 3.5.2 Stability

The WordPress 3.5.2 update seems to have few reported problems. I upgraded seven different WordPress blogs on several different hosts today with no issues with any sites or plug-ins.

As always, your experience may vary, so be sure to backup your sites regularly and know how to restore them so that if something goes wrong, you’ll be ready.
